Theocracies, ethnocracies and dictatorships make up Middle East, all supported by the West

R. Linda Hart (Letters, November 5) objects to Israel being described as an ethnocracy.

She pondered why other states in the region such as Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, among others, are not criticised instead of Israel.

She also asked how I would describe these states.
