Potential abductor should be given help

Much has been made, in recent days, of the bravery of a 10 year old, in saving his sister from abduction. 

There has been far less focus, though, on our national cowardice, in relation to the man convicted of the attempted abduction, Michael Martin. He has, it seems, 92 previous convictions. Harsh, penal prison regimes, it is clear, then, do not change lives. Mercy, and compassion, do.
