Students should feel the full force of the law, too

The alleged anti-social behaviour of students in Cork, over the Jazz Festival weekend, was the subject of discussion on a local radio chat show this Tuesday.
Students should feel the full force of the law, too

I was surprised to hear the host say that he asked a “senior member of An Garda Siochana” what he considered of garda inaction in such cases.

The senior garda told him “they did not want students to have a conviction on record, which might jeopardise their future careers”.

If this is true, then the law is applied on a selective basis.

If the comment is not true, then it is an inappropriate to attribute it to a “senior member of An Garda Siochana”.

Perhaps others may have views/opinion on this matter?
