Can we take anything Mr Kenny says seriously?

It is rare for a Taoiseach as head of state to make, what appears to be extremely rash comments about Ireland’s economy during the recession. This is even more unfortunate given that the Taoiseach was out of the country addressing a gathering from other European countries.
Can we take anything Mr Kenny says seriously?

One wonders what we will hear next from Mr Kenny. Perhaps he will tell the world that Ireland froze over during the recession and that he alone dug Ireland out from under a huge iceberg.

In contrast, it seems bizarre that An Taoiseach has so little to say about other subjects, including the sacking of Garda Commissioner Callinan, the Moriarty Tribunal findings, the housing crisis and even his difficulty in deciding which year to hold the election.
