People who abide by the law need more rights

A recent meeting of “concerned” citizens at Thurles, suggested that career criminals be tagged and “free legal aid” be denied to such individuals.
People who abide by the law need more rights

This raised concerns of violation of “basic human rights”.

In my opinion, it is time for “society” to reconsider the “basic rights” of convicted criminals, with a view to protecting law abiding citizens.
