A bitter pill to swallow

A musical has been produced about a group of feminists who brought contraceptives from the North back to the South in the 1970s.

I heard an interview on Miriam O’Callaghan’s radio programme with some of the women involved. It’s ironic, though, that, had the sisters’ mothers practiced what their daughters preached, none of them would have been there to discuss this.
