Islam is an expansionist religion and way of life

In response to Philip Jones (Irish Examiner, Letters, September 16), I never said there was a Muslim master-plan to take over Europe, but if Europe ignores its rapidly growing Muslim population, and opens its doors indefinitely to the peoples of the Middle East and North Africa, it is a matter of time before ‘Eurabia’ becomes reality. 

As for “religious beliefs”, Mr. Jones and other multiculturalists are ignoring that Islam is not just a religion, it is a way of life, public and private, and one that is supremacist. There are 57 Muslim countries, not one of which is a liberal democracy and not one of which has a good record on religious tolerance, free speech and women’s rights. Hence, why having a large population of Muslims entering Europe annually is not wise.

Muslim integration has not been successful in Europe. Middle East minorities soak up a disproportionate share of social welfare in Scandinavia, the Benelux countries and France. Muslims account for an incredible 70% of the French prison population and areas of cities in Western Europe have become de facto Sharia Law zones, where even the police, as well as Jews, non-Muslim women and transparently gay men, are excluded or harassed if they enter.
