Never doubt Kilkenny’s contribution to hurling or love of the MacCarthy Cup

While I always enjoyed the hurling column of Tony Considine over the years I have to say that he went way over the top in his analysis of last Sundays hurling All-Ireland between Kilkenny and Galway (Irish Examiner September 8)

Never doubt Kilkenny’s contribution to hurling or love of the MacCarthy Cup

He most definitely should not have said the following... “Whether they (the Galway hurlers) took sleeping tablets underneath the Hogan Stand, I dont know. They definitely took something. They were a completely different team upon the change of ends”

How dare he state as fact that the Galway players “definitely took something”.
