Our President has said the EU treatment of Mediterranean migrants is shameful.

Is it not shameful a taxpayer-funded naval vessel is collecting more migrants for resettlement in Europe? This country cannot process those already here and cannot properly provide houses for our own population. Would this ship not be better utilised preventing foreign trawlers from stealing our reducing fish stocks and/or stopping the importation of drugs?

One wonders how many of the proposed intake of these migrants will be housed in the large house in the Phoenix Park?
