We at Sex Workers’ Alliance of Ireland (SWAI) strongly disagree with Brian Killoran (Irish Examiner, Letters, August 17) on sex-work legislation in the Republic.

Legislation will hurt sex workers

Sex-worker organisations across the globe call unanimously for full decriminalisation of sex work.

We are concerned, as Amnesty found in their research, that criminalisation of the client sacrifices sex workers’ safety.
