Desmond Fitzgerald (Irish Examiner Letters July 3)) tells us that he took a risk on Enda Kenny at the last election despite Mr Kenny’s “lack of intellectual vigour”.

For as long as I remember, Mr Fitzgerald has been using a London address. He pontificates from afar.

I know I took a risk, as did other residents of this state, on Enda Kenny. His job was to fix the economy and CSO figures released this week show that the Irish economy is the fastest growing in the EU.
