The taxpayer is paying me for my water usage

A couple of weeks ago, I received my water bill for the first quarter.

The taxpayer is paying me for my water usage

It came to the princely sum of €19.64.

This week I received my water bill for the second quarter.

It came to the kings ransom of €24.10.

As I have a water meter, the bills helpfully told me that my bill will be capped at €160 irrespective of my usage.

But going on the first six months, it looks like it will be under €100.

Not only was my water meter installed for free, but when I receive the €100 water conservation grant, I could get a refund from the Government. In other words, the taxpayer is paying me for my water!

And to think there are muppets out there protesting about these water charges, and want to abolish them.
