EU leaders are harming the European project

Can the European Union centre and ‘peripheries’ hold on together? Does everybody concerned even want to?

EU leaders are harming the European project

What or who do those in charge care about?

Soon, Britain’s leaders are to hold an ‘in or out’ referendum on membership of the EU.

There is a lot of uncertainty about the European project now, yet we can’t forget the union of states has reduced political friction since its inception.

Undoubtedly, cruelty by the bigger states towards Greece has diminished the concept of a ‘union’.

We could do well to note bankers are not gods on Mount Olympus, and that if, perhaps, eaten bread is soon forgotten, hunger is not.

The European Union needs to move to reduce the unease that its recent approach has caused.

I hope, for all our sakes, the European Union continues.
