Government should have looked after pensioners

Labour TDs would not agree to the sale of Aer Lingus without the deficit in the pension scheme being addressed. 

They then voted with the Government to sell to UK, European and Middle Eastern shareholders, without mention of the hundreds of Aer Lingus-DAA pensioners who had their pensions reduced last month.

Surely, part of the €335mn from the sale should go towards shoring up the pension fund, instead of being spent on winning votes.
