Catholic Church is author of its misfortune

Prior to the age of enlightenment millions of slaves were subjected to discrimination and prejudice.

It is only in modern times that black people as well as women and children and other groups, have been rescued from this wrongdoing.

Archbishop E. Martin’s recent comments about secularism failed to recognise that his church has been the author of its misfortune and that Christianity today comes to us, not from the institution that is the Catholic Church, but from sources such as the European Court of Human Rights.

The Government must modernise an education system that has stifled access to knowledge.
