Elected representatives must listen to the people

Many people complained of protesters outside the residence of the Lord Mayor.

Public representatives, once elected, seem to believe they cannot be held accountable/responsible to the electorate.

The present controversy could have been avoided if the Lord Mayor had accepted a petition signed by 15,000 persons.
