We need constitutional lawyers to outline the pros and cons of referenda

They are too divisive. I make up my own mind. To do this, I need more than a simplistic leaflet in the door from the Referendum Commission. I need to see the pros and the cons from constitutional lawyers. I do not have this; neither does the public at large. The fault for this lies at the door of the 2001 government. It legislated to limit the powers of the Commission, which now has a tape over its mouth and hands tied behind it’s back.

A slow death to democracy.
