A rare act of hospitality and generosity counts

I travelled from Wexford to Cork on Saturday last ( May 16 ) and stopped off in Glantane village. I went into a pub — Corkerys — and asked the man in the bar if I could get a bowl of soup.

A rare act of hospitality and generosity counts

He could not oblige but offered to make me tea or coffee. I was supplied with a nice pot of tea and a packet of biscuits and offered a paper to read.

When finished I asked the man how much I owed and he said nothing at all, as it was just a drop of tea. It may have been a small thing but it was nice to receive and much appreciated. I would like through your paper to offer my appreciation of the hospitality.
