The ‘no’ campaign aren’t allowed to take offence
The level of spin is such that any criticism of their views is labelled as intolerant of free speech, particularly if that criticism is from some uppity’ homo’ poised with his homophobic slur gun.
Because of this, homophobia, both blatant and subtle, is often overlooked for fear of the accusation of being PC or too ready to take offence.
Apparently, current wisdom, particularly in radio talk show land, dictates that you cannot be offended, because it’s just your mind playing tricks.
