The level of spin is such that any criticism of their views is labelled as intolerant of free speech, particularly if that criticism is from some uppity’ homo’ poised with his homophobic slur gun.

Because of this, homophobia, both blatant and subtle, is often overlooked for fear of the accusation of being PC or too ready to take offence.
