Pensioners won’t forget Noonan

For days, we have listened to Finance Minister Michael Noonan crowing about his ‘spring review’ giveaway of €1.5bn.

Pensioners won’t forget Noonan

I would remind him from where he got this. He has taken €2.3bn already from the private pensions of 360,000 pensioners.

This is money that we had saved over 45-50 years, so we would have a reasonable pension later in life —not a gold-plated pension, like Mr. Noonan will get from the taxpayer. It was a scandalous act. Even Greece, with all its troubles, didn’t do this — they went for the State reserves, to keep going.
