Questionable ministerial appointments

The ‘Dear Mr. Bread’ letter directed to Declan Ryan (Irish Examiner, April 23) once again highlights the questionable appointments made by ministers in hiring ‘advisors’,‘personal assistants’ and ‘private secretaries’.

Are these appointees a reflection of their bosses?

On the matter of apprenticeship: I wonder if your readers are aware that gents’ hairdressing is not considered a ‘trade’ in Ireland?
