A question of conscience isn’t black and white

Fergus Finlay sees the exercise of conscience as a further means of discrimination against gay people should the referendum be carried and a conscience clause conceded to individuals who may not want to provide services to marrying gay couples.

He has providers like hotels, bakeries and stationary companies in mind.

As an opponent of same-sex marriage on the basis of its discrimination against children in favour of adult choices I see his point. I imagine that a lot of people provide everyday services all the time to people they have fundamental ideological differences with.
