The ‘plain people of Ireland’ still need to be given postal addresses

There was an advertisement in the Irish Examiner, and in the other national papers, last Friday (March 20), about a review of local property tax by the Department of Finance. Submissions are wanted, “preferably by email”, and an email address was given, but no postal address.

I phoned the Department about this and a lady said that the postal address was on its website.

This sounds to me like “have horse and you’ll get grass”, as far as Luddites like me are concerned, who do not have a computer.
