Banks expect us to deal with them after they’ve ‘stolen’ money from our wages

Infuriatingly I’ve just noticed on Bookface an advert for the Bank of Ireland advertising a forthcoming visit by said bank to Carlow’s Fairgreen Shopping Centre looking to entice potential customers to borrow money from them.

Really fellow citizens, would you talk to, or do business with, any of our High Street banks after their role in our country’s banking crisis and after their role in bankrupting our country and the resulting austerity measures.

Organisations such as Bank of Ireland put their greasy hands into our pockets via government measures and stole substantial amounts of money from Irish taxpayers like you and me to pay for their financial incompetence and now they want us to talk to them about giving us a loan that only they will profit from.

C’mon citizens of Ireland , wise up and smell the new Spring flowers...

I got a phone call from AIB this week offering me unsolicited loans. I laughed at the telephone banker and said in ‘all honesty are you for real? When we needed financial assistance, you made us beg and now that we don’t really need your financial assistance you start throwing money at us like confetti!’

Our country’s banks are beyond bizarre — I’d like banks to deposit the money they stole from wage packets since 2008 because they weren’t able to prudently manage their own financial affairs.

I’d like them to deposit it with compound interest and I would also like to bank free of charge until I retire in compensation for the financial hardships and inconvenience they have caused all of us.
