Marriage demonstrators got no media coverage

Last Saturday we had a demonstration of people who want to default on a perfectly necessary water charge. This demonstration received headline attention in the news.

Last Sunday we had a march for the launch of Amnesty International’s campaign for a yes vote in the forthcoming marriage equality referendum. Media coverage? Nil.

It’s not that people didn’t show up, there was a very impressive crowd. We even had a proposal of marriage on stage. Why are anarchistic water protesters more worthy of attention than people who want to change our society for the better.
