TDs should stop any planned increase in the national lottery numbers

I hear rumours that the lotto company is planning to increase the numbers “to make the game more exciting”. To make the game more exciting, it would be great to have a better chance of winning something, not a much smaller chance.

I would be far more honest and exciting to increase the lower prizes instead of making the top prize ever larger. Yes, we know that some people do the Lotto only when the top prize is in the multi millions but sane people, the vast majority of us, would be happy with a few hundred thousand.

It’s probably asking too much that some TDs would get involved to stop the increase in numbers, and therefore a huge increase in profits and salary bonuses, which is the real reason for the increase.
