Build affordable housing so emigrants will return
Since the economic crisis of 2008, it’s estimated 165,000 people between the age of 18-24 have emigrated. There are now one million active Irish passport holders living abroad.
If Enda Kenny is sincere in calling for the global Irish to return home, he should borrow a few billion euro and immediately start building thousands of affordable houses which would allow thousands of skilled building workers to return home and also satisfy the needs of people looking to purchase an affordable home.
