Couples will pay highest rates of water charges
One person living alone will pay €160; when €100 is refunded, that person will have paid 60. Two people living in one house will pay €260; when €100 is refunded, they will have paid €160, or €80 each. Three people living in one house will pay €260; when €100 is refunded, they will have paid €53.33 each. For four people, it is €40 each, or €160. Why are two people made to pay more than anybody else? No amount of Government waffling can alter these figures.
It is mostly OAPs that are being targeted, once again. Do they think because of our advancing years we are also brain dead?
I am an octogenarian and will not be paying the above charges, and will certainly not be voting Fine Gael or Labour in the next election.
