Jewish emigration could end two-state solution

Recent replies from Messrs Kevin McCarthy, Noru Tsalic and Ciarán O’ Raghallaigh, (Letters, Irish Examiner), to my humble letter on the recently perceived increase in the incidents of anti-Semitism, appear to play the man rather than address what I merely reported as the views of prominent Israelis confirming a link between the behaviour of the the state of Israel, and especially its military, and an increase in anti-Jewish incidents.

Jewish emigration could end two-state solution

Israeli premier Netanyahu is certainly not worried about any increase in world-wide anti-Jewish animus as he sees here an opportunity for an increase in Jewish immigration into the occupied Palestinian West-Bank.

However, it appears likely that this increasing colonisation will kill off the Two-State solution, leading to a unitary state where the indigenous Palestinians could outnumber Jewish Israelis.

With the so-called ‘Islamic State’ getting closer to Israel’s borders, the indigenous Palestinians could turn out to be the Israelis’ best partner in a new rights-based unitary state, generating international support for its Jewish, Muslim and Christian citizens.
