People need to believe in a dry Good Friday

Is it not sad that some people believe alcoholic drinks should be sold on Good Friday. I cannot understand why some people cannot accept two dry days a year.

To say nothing about the crucifixion, can proponents of Good Friday alcohol explain why people exiting the Lourdes baths are immediately dry?
