Eighth amendment and male chauvinism

When will the penny drop with Fergus Finlay (Irish Examiner, February 10) that the Eighth Amendment is the only bulwark which protects Mná na hÉireann from the Supreme Achievement of Male Chauvinism?

The Chauvinists’ philosophy is simple and straightforward:

“We must ensure that we shall have no problem in taking advantage of women by making certain that they enjoy the ability to dispose of any unwelcome consequences”.
