Farranree needs city council support to clean up its act

Irish Business Against Litter was pleased to read in your recent article (“Residents in litter ‘blackspot’ clean up their act”) that Farranree is reacting positively to its disappointing result in our most recent litter survey.

Farranree is one of many urban areas in Ireland which does not enjoy the same priority from the local council as higher-profile, higher-footfall areas.

IBAL’s surveys are intended solely to remedy this situation by putting pressure on the council to look after these areas too.

The indications are this is starting to happen in Farranree.

We look forward to Farranree seeing the fruits of its efforts in our upcoming surveys.
