The Palestinian Authority agreed under the Oslo accords that resolution of its dispute with Israel should be by direct negotiation and not via outside channels.

The PA breached this, by its recent, failed attempt to obtain recognition as a state by the UN Security Council, and its application to join the International Criminal Court.

The PA has abrogated the Oslo accords, under which Israel collects taxes on Palestine’s behalf. And Palestine owes the Israel Electric Corporation $154m for electricity, which Israel would be entitled to offset against that tax revenue.
