Tourism chiefs need to support Cork

Is there an airport in Cork? I know the answer to this question as I come from Cork but a foreigner would think there isn’t.

I live in Germany and fly frequently to Cork. But go to Aer Lingus’ website and look for information on Cork Airport and you won’t find it. They have pages about Dublin Airport (and offers) but Cork Airport does not appear to exist.

Try to book an internal flight from Dublin to Cork and it doesn’t appear to be possible.

A web search suggests that it might be possible via Aer Arann (now Stobart). This website then tells you to go to Aer Lingus Regional website to book your flight.

Such a website does not exist. There is no link from Aer Lingus to this website and a search does not find it

Is it not possible to fly internally in Ireland anymore? If there are really no flights from the first city to the second city of the country, then it is a disgrace.

A potential foreign tourist would have long since given up.

Is there no tourist board in Cork who is supposed to look out for Cork’s interests? Ditto for the management of Cork Airport?
