The failure to plan properly: When will we face the crisis on pensions?

Just yesterday, our inadequate health planning, like that in so many other countries struggling to match expectation and supply, was exposed by the number of patients forced to use hospital trolleys.
That number was at near record levels when, according to the Irish Nurses’ and Midwives’ Organisation, 563 patients were on trolleys, a figure just below the Government’s self-imposed shall-not-pass figure of 569.
