One of these is the obligation to not engage in unprovoked acts of aggression against one’s neighbours and to not allow one’s territory to be used for such activity. Missiles are regularly fired by Gazan militants at communities in southern Israel despite the end of the summer conflict. Will those TDs and senators who voted for recognition of Palestine now condemn such attacks or does the aforementioned recognition only confer privileges with no associated obligations?
