Such a hard lesson

The tragic deaths of eight people in a single car crash were recalled at Letterkenny Circuit Court this week when the driver of one of the cars involved, 26-year-old Shaun Kelly of Buncrana, Co Donegal, was sentenced to four years in prison with the last two years suspended for dangerous driving causing the deaths.

The case was a reminder of how important it is that we all behave responsibly on the roads over the Christmas period.

Like nearly everyone else this young man was susceptible to a moment of madness and he behaved in a reckless way.
