Some weeks ago, Martin McGuinness was interviewed and the murder of Paul Quinn, in 2007, was raised.

McGuinness emphathically stated he had no knowledge of the the murderers, and he was asked if Sinn Féin would, out of respect to the family of Quinn, repudiate the claim that the victim was a criminal.

McGuinness replied that he would have to leave that decision “to the good people of South Armagh”.
