RTÉ did not give Pope Francis his fair due

RTÉ has a blind spot where religious faith is concerned. 

This was evident in the noticeably minimal news report RTÉ provided on the powerful address by Pope Francis to the European Parliament in Strasbourg. In contrast the BBC, ITV and Sky news gave extensive coverage and good analysis of the event.

I am sure the media of other European countries and the US also gave the important and powerful speech by the status it deserved. The standing ovation of all the assembly members in appreciation of Francis’ address was also cut.
