Make a ‘Love/Hate’ starring the bankers

The drama series Love/Hate was the latest in a long line of TV dramas to satiate viewers’ appetite for criminal activity. 

And from the extensive media coverage, including in The Irish Examiner, it was by far the most successful project to hit RTÉ screens, with characters in the series coming from working-class areas of Dublin and emulative of real life in communities devastated by violence and drugs.

Nonetheless, it is regrettable that RTÉ never broadcast a series highlighting the white collar criminal activities of politicians, bankers and developers hailing from affluent areas of Dublin who were responsible for ruining the country, now encumbered with unrealistic debts.
