The ‘God gene’ needs further exploration

It is commendable the Irish Examiner is open enough to publish an article on religious belief in relation to the area of mental health.

Would it be worth considering that this topic may need further exploration? After all scientists discovered the possibility of a ‘God gene’, (Time Magazine, October 2004), “Religion: Is God in Our Genes?”. While this concept may not be fully accepted surely it is worthy of further research.

Given the increase in the breakdown of society, and increasing belief that there is no such thing as God, surely we owe it to society to have further discussions, articles and research?
