A threesome of Fine Gael, Fianna Fail and Labour

The electoral mathematics of the next general election could dictate a Fine Gael/Fianna Fail/Labour coalition, if each is not prepared to bed down with Sinn Fein. Anyone in doubt should look to history.

In 1918, one of the strongest political parties in Europe, pro-rata of population, the Irish Parliamentary Party was wiped out by Sinn Fein, who, in turn, were split and destroyed within just five years.
