Last Sunday, we decided to take a trip to Crosshaven, in Cork Harbour, for the first time in years.

It was a beautiful October day and we were surprised beyond belief at the beauty of the countryside, particularly the stretch passing by Drake’s Pool between Carrigaline and Crosshaven.

Nature had unfolded all its splendour in a profusion of autumnal colour. Boats sat calmly on their moorings and the trees were ablaze with a profusion of reds, yellows, browns and greens. And then it happened.
