Ms Burton’s task in saving Labour is of utmost gravity

In the acclaimed movie, Gravity, the character played by the wonderful Sandra Bullock is required to save herself.

With meagre resources and against impossible odds, she has to extract herself from hostile outer space, the manic, random, lethal debris of the space race, and return to the solid ground of Earth, back to ‘terra firma’.

Our own Miss Congeniality, An Tánaiste, Joan Burton, TD, is faced with a similar task.
