‘Green Paper’ deadline

May I draw your readers’ attention to the closing date of July 31 for submissions to the ‘Green Paper on Energy Policy in Ireland’?

We are fortunate to live in a democracy: we can contribute to national policy. Once the closing date has passed, that opportunity will have passed, and we will be bound by the regulations that derive from the submissions received. The ‘Green Paper’ can be downloaded from www.dcenr.gov.ie.

I urge every citizen to read the ‘Green Paper’, and to contribute to future national energy policy by making a submission, while the opportunity remains.
