Marquee success - Here’s to 10 more years

Ever since Live at the Marquee was born in Cork in 2005, hundreds of thousands of happy fans have been entertained during this hugely enjoyable event.

Launched by the Beach Boys and Brian Wilson a decade ago, the 2014 celebration of its 10th year, saw a mouth-watering line-up of stars, old and new, featuring such names as Cliff Richard, Brian Wilson, Dolly Parton, Tom Jones, Bob Dylan, Christy Moore, The Sensational Space Shifters, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Imelda May, and Mario Rosenstock.

By any yardstick, summer at the Marquee has been an outstanding success. It shows the importance of a venue outside Dublin. Peter Aiken, take a bow!
