The more extreme ISIS can be portrayed, the greater the alibi the West gains for its support of the "moderates" within Syria and Iraq — the term "moderates" being another red herring.

The ISIS phenomenon has been thought up by allied military intelligence as a means to create an acceptable narrative for public consumption to justify the West’s involvement with terrorists in acts of terrorism which further Western, global, strategic objectives. The West’s involvement in terrorism — in the training, funding, and arming of terrorists — is well documented.
