Savile abuse - Horrifying revelations

The revelations that the famous English DJ and broadcaster Jimmy Savile abused 60 people at Leeds General Infirmary, including at least 33 patients aged from five to 75, is as horrifying as it is shocking.

Even more disturbing is the disclosure by Britain’s National Health Service that the Top of the Pops presenter had sexually abused bodies in the mortuary at Leeds, taking advantage of his role as a volunteer porter.

Star-struck NHS workers allowed Savile free rein to sexually abuse patients and hospital staff “didn’t want to hear or believe” what his victims were saying, the report said.
