Rabbits foraged off the land long before humans did. They take only what they need to survive. And unlike Winterson, they donât kill to eat. Rabbits are natureâs pruners.
Their gentle browsing actually encourages growth in many plants.
There are far more humane methods of dealing with so-called âpestsâ, whose land Winterson has encroached on in order to grow what she fancies.
