Congratulations on a sun-and-fun-filled show

With the sun making a welcome (and let’s face it, a deal-breaking) appearance, the Cork Summer Show, which ran last weekend in Curraheen, was a very impressive affair.

Congratulations on a sun-and-fun-filled show

It boasted a wide variety of entertainment, including puppet shows, live music, petting farm, trade stands, food stalls, Blackrock observatory tent and the must have ‘merries’. Born in this century or the last, you were sure to find something of interest.

Great value at €15 per person, with free entry for Under 12’s, I was accompanied by my 3ft tall bosses (aka my children), and spent 4 hours touring the site without one request to leave; proof of the events’ success.

The Summer Show, an inherent part of our heritage, is the first official event indicating that the summer has arrived (even if sometimes the weather forgets to!).

Congratulations to all those involved.
